Who We Are

ENVAL Group introduces ELAM (Enval Laboratoire d’Analyses Minières) its mining laboratory located in Yamoussoukro, Ivory Coast; Enval’s adventure started in 1999 with Cabinet Enval, a consulting company specialised in the environment and agroindustry. Very quickly Enval felt the need for an assay lab to sustain the company. In 2002, Enval Laboratoire became a company on its own and started developing other fields, following the evolution of the industry in Ivory Coast.
Today, Enval Laboratoire is one of the most important laboratory of physico-chemical and microbiological analyses in West Africa. The company specializes in microbiological and physico-chemical tests and analyses. The company has recently expanded its activities and conducts soil, foliar and oil analyses, as well as noise-measuring and air quality analyses. Enval goes now into the mining world with its Mining Lab (Minerals and Lubricants). Enval Laboratoire is ISO 17025 accredited since 2012 and ELAM has already started the process too.

Our Services

ELAM’s ambition is to service the mining industry right from grassroots exploration samples up to bullion analysis.
Thanks to our Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) you can have confidence in the chain of custody for your samples. Once logged into the system, you can follow your samples throughout the assaying process and access immediately to your results.

MINERALS ANALYSIS

Sample preparation is done using state of the art equipment and the QA/QC system in place guaranties the production of a representative and homogeneous sub sample with no cross contamination. For exploration geochemistry samples, we offer multi element trace level analyses packages either by Aqua Regia or Four Acid digestion and ICP OES. For gold exploration, a cost effective method on soils and sediments is the Bulk Leach Extractable Gold (BLEG) followed by solvent extraction allowing the ppb level. Fire Assay is often the preferred method for gold in rocks, drill cores and chip samples. We offer fire assay on 50g and 100g samples, with AAS and gravimetric finish. And thanks to a pre-scanning using a handheld XRF, we can determine what in the matrix could interfere with the fusion process and choose the right flux in order to assay accurately. We can also help you to diagnose how your plant is performing assaying your cyanide solutions for gold or other elements, the activity and the gold content on your carbon and the purity of your bullions.

LUBRICANT ANALYSIS

With the lubricants lab, we decided to go one step further in the services supplied to the industry. Used lubricant samples analysis will tell you if the engine, the gearbox or the transmission of your machines is in order or not and allow your maintenance team to plan for repair or predictive maintenance in an efficient and effective way.

ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT

Environmental assessment is a relevant service offered by CABINET ENVAL. It includes: Environmental Assessments: Environmental and Social Impact Assessment, Environmental Audit, Assessment of Environmental Technical Requirements Assistance to companies undertaking quality management system in sanitation, environment, industry and service, health and safety according to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHASAS 18001, ISO 22000, SA 8000, GLOBALGAP and TESCO Standards Assessment and Training in GAP analysis, GSAC, HACCP

PHYSICO-CHEMICAL ANALYSIS

ENVAL Laboratoire amongst its broad range of services can help the mining industry in all analyses linked to the EIA and the Environmental and Social Management Plans: Water Analysis (Heavy Metals, Cyanide and other pollution), Soils and Foliar Analysis for contamination, Air Quality (including dust) and Noise measurement.
